What the R36H actually is
Every other model on this page is a vertical, Game Boy-shaped device. The R36H is the horizontal one, and for a lot of people that single difference decides the purchase — a landscape body puts your hands in the same position as a normal console controller, which is far more comfortable over a long session.
Internally it is close to the R36S: the same RK3326, the same 3.5-inch 640×480 4:3 panel, with 1 GB of DDR3L RAM to help the heavier PlayStation 1 titles.
The battery is replaceable — genuinely unusual in this price bracket, and the reason some owners keep an R36H going long after a sealed handheld would have been thrown away.
